FILLING A NICHE IN THE MEDICAL COMMUNITYAnnapolis, Maryland- SKY Neurological Rehabilitation (SKY) is the only comprehensive community-based neurological rehabilitation outpatient center based in Maryland's capital, serving the Baltimore-Washington region. This center opened in November 2002 and will officially be introduced to the state of Maryland during its Grand Opening Celebration on Monday, April 28 thru Thursday May 1, 2003. The public is invited to tour the facility and meet the SKY Team from 1-6pm each day. The Official Grand Opening Ceremony will convene on Thursday, May 1, 2003 at 1pm on the grounds of 190 Admiral Cochrane Drive Suite 180 in Annapolis, Maryland. SKY is emphatically filling a niche through providing specialized therapy which assists patients in restoring their roles in the home and community after sustaining neurological injuries such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, aneurysm, tumors, spinal cord injury and other neurological related conditions. "Since opening, SKY has facilitated the successful transition of students, homemakers, business owners, managers, retired persons and fulltime employees back into their homes, schools, jobs and communities." says Chief Operations Officer, Mrs. Yvette Valiente. "We work with the patients and their families to determine the best therapy combination and plan of care that ensure the patient's optimal recovery to functional independence." Mrs. Linda Stout, the wife of a SKY patient reports, "This Company will succeed. You can tell these people genuinely care. I did not worry while my husband was receiving therapy at SKY. I knew he would be fine." The SKY clinical team includes speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, a neuropsychologist, a nurse case manager, a physician as well as neurological rehabilitation technicians.
