Mrs. Yvette Valiente is a recognized leader in the clinical management of neurological rehabilitation programs.  Her passion for brain injury rehabilitation began over fifteen years ago with a range of experiences in clinical neurological rehabilitation.  After many years, she altered her path from clinical to healthcare management.

Mrs. Valiente received her Bachelor of Science from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure Studies. She later became certified in Case Management. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Health Care Administration from University of Phoenix.

She is a part of the SKY Neurological Rehabilitation Start-Up Team and Board of Directors and she serves as the Chief Operations Officer. She ensures The SKY Clinical Model is delivered with efficiency. Mrs. Valiente has successfully lead SKY toward accreditation of the Brain Injury Program in 2004 and along with the Director of Quality Management, has successfully lead the company to receive Accreditation for its Brain Injury Program as well as the Accreditation for its Stroke Specialty Program in 2007. SKY is the FIRST Outpatient Center in Maryland to receive this international distinction. SKY has earned statewide recognition for providing services that are Bridging the Gap within the inpatient and outpatient settings, Filling A Niche within the medical community and Touching Lives of each client and family served. She leads the SKY Team’s involvement with efforts and activities sponsored by the Maryland Heart Association and the Brain Injury Association of Maryland.

In addition to her role at SKY, Mrs. Valiente is a surveyor for The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).  “CARF surveyors are committed to the principle that accreditation is essential in ensuring that organizations offer programs and services that are of demonstrated value to the persons served. CARF surveyors promote quality and value in service provision by offering consultation that focuses on organizational and program or service improvement. They are trained to be consultative and share their knowledge of the field.”  Her success can be attributed to an ability to bridge internal and external gaps through effective communication and support of a strong clinical model to ensure positive client outcomes.

Mrs. Valiente is married and has 3 boys. They enjoy soccer, gymnastics, and vacations to the beach.
