Senior Clinician
email

Amy Mann has proven to be a leader among speech language pathologists in the neurological rehabilitation industry. She began her career in Speech Language Pathology in 1996 after receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University in 1994 and a Masters of Science Degree in Speech Pathology from Towson University in 1996.

Following her desire to work with an Adult population, she began her career in sub-acute care at Spa Creek Center in Annapolis.  She then accepted a position at the Centers for Neuro Rehabilitation following her expressed interest in neurological rehabilitation and provided therapy for four years. Amy later pursued contractual work in skilled nursing, outpatient and inpatient acute rehabilitation.

After her second child was born, she returned to her love of outpatient comprehensive neurological rehabilitation by accepting the invitation from the COO in 2002 to become a member of the Start-Up Team at SKY Neurological Rehabilitation (SKY). While providing Speech Language Pathology services, she also has a strong interest in developing new and innovative programs for treating the neurological population.  She serves as the Senior Clinician to coordinate roles and responsibilities of all clinicians, develop clinical treatment schedules and provide mentoring to the Clinical Team to ensure that SKY is providing a comprehensive and interdisciplinary plan of care to maximize each client’s return to their home and community environments.

Amy has also served on the Brain Injury Association of Maryland Conference planning committee as well as the Maryland Traumatic Brain Injury Post Demonstration Grant project. She has provided presentations to nurse case managers, social workers and other therapists.
